Autumn
Wyrd
Summer bleeds its last shades of green To the darkened pool of dead emotions Pond of decayed dreams and withered love Why should I carry on, when all hope is gone? Come the autumn, come the rain Wash away all the bitterness and hate Fall - Come the autumn Fall - Come the rain Carve it to the firs, carve it to the oaks Scream it to the stars, shout it at the world Dwelling in self-pity, in self-caused pain All bridges burnt, the only way is down Come the autumn, come the rain Come the nightfall, welcome death Fall - Come the autumn Fall - Come the rain Fall - Come the end.

Official reissue on tape and digital format, authorized by the band.

On June 30th, 2003, WYRD released their third album “Vargtimmen pt. I” which translates to “Hour of the Wolf”, via Solistitium Records. Continuing the path chosen on previous albums, the songs featured slower sections with acoustic guitars, in contrast to the faster, more aggressive parts driven by electric guitar, synths, and drums. The folkish influences present on “Huldrafolk” were almost completely absent. Instead “Vargtimmen pt. I” gave slightly more prominence to the keyboards and in addition the overall production was slightly cleaner.
The album is built upon five tracks, including “Sad Song of the Woods”, which clocks in at nearly 18 minutes. Initially, the title track was to be a single song over 13 minutes in length, but in the final mixing and mastering stages, Narqath decided to split it into two parts. Come, join us in the Lonely Sea.

Sacrifire Productions will be releasing the album on tape later in Spring 2025.
