Part of the music-making process involves listening back to rough mixes on everyday devices, to make sure it still sounds good when you’re not staring at the open multi-track project on your computer.
When doing this for RITUALIS OBSCURA, I kept being surprised that the first two tracks seemed so short. Of course, they’re not really short at all – they come to almost 20 mins combined! And I didn’t want them to dominate that album, as it would have thrown things out of balance, particularly leading up to the centrepiece composition.
But I kept thinking, “I could listen to those two tracks for a lot longer.” I figured if I felt that way, some of you might too.
So I’ve made extended versions of both tracks – now 60 minutes each! – and here they are. Pay what you want, or download for free. You’re welcome.
