Hailing from Ankara, Türkiye, Sunk Into Oblivion was created by guitar player Erkin Öztürk in 2003 under the name In Revel of Seduce.

After a few inactive early years, the band assembled a proper unit in 2008 and started to appear at local shows. Following their inauspicious start & several line-up changes, the band returned in November of 2014 with their 2-tracks demo “In Revel of Seduce” and immediately caught the ears of the underground.

Now a quintet, Sunk Into Oblivion took its time to mature, writing and recording their debut album, “The Detestation,” over an extended period of time. This allowed both the songwriting and production to evolve naturally, eventually resulting in the record the band had originally envisioned. The album is now ready and awaiting its release.

Although this will be their debut full-length release as Sunk Into Oblivion, the band is formed by experienced musicians who have spent many years performing, writing and recording in various metal projects.

Sunk Into Oblivion craft grim, thrashy, old-fashioned yet catchy melodic death metal that calls to mind images of 90’s foggy dawns.
