5 old Siv Kyne tracks imbued with new life, each one packed with a different, hyper-electronic energy.

My journey as a music producer started in 2024 with "The Diamond", an amateur but funky tune about the Diamond of Life, a mystical exhibit housed in isolation off of the American east coast. In 2025, I released The Eclipse of Death, an album borne of "The Diamond". During that experience, I felt a sense of new life, but I wasn't sure what to make of it quite yet. You see, the story of "The Eclipse of Death and the Diamond of Life" was not originally written in that order.

Instead, the order was "The Diamond of Life and the Eclipse of Death", which might seem like an arbitrary distinction. However, the difference has proven to be huge. For it was not within life that I found death, but within death that I found life--new life.

As you may know, Jayson, one of my closest childhood friends, passed away in December of 2023. His death quickly plunged me into the worst bout of grief that I have yet experienced. Don't get me wrong; the grief still lingers, for moving on entirely is not possible. Because, despite his long absence, Jayson was quite a cornerstone of my childhood, and I am grateful for the many years we spent together as best friends.

Oddly enough, it seems that his departure was what pushed me to new heights. So, upward I climbed, connecting loose ends as I cleared my newfound path. Because even the all-obscuring shadow of death could not extinguish the spark of life. Though, going forward, it would no longer be life as it had been, but new life.

Accepting this new life is critical, for if we continue to cling to the old life, it will be quickly warped, losing its true form and becoming misshapen. So we must let go of what used to be, allowing ourselves to admire it only from a distance. Because you are not who you were. You cannot continue trying to fit into an old cast, squeezing yourself desperately into a time that is no longer yours.

So we must learn to let go: to let the past be what it is, not trying to relive it in a way that is appropriate for the present.

...Ironic, isn't it? That I came to this conclusion only through revising my own past? Well, I'd say the best lessons are often learned the hard way, so I hope you enjoy listening!
