Holy Water/Cheap Whiskey is an exploration into ambient-adjacent styles that have intrigued me for a while (drone, ambient techno, musique concrete, minimalism, etc.), heavily inspired by artists like Tim Hecker, Autechre, Brian Eno, C148, and Kayo Dot. This record has been an experiment in honing my compositional skills, incorporating new forms of performance into my workflow, and generally escaping my comfort zone as a musician and creative. The end result is an LP of meditative works that teeter between calming and foreboding. While not being as conceptual as previous records like 4ever, Komputer Wizard, and The Absolution Channel, Holy Water/Cheap Whiskey does represent a sort of reoccurring burnout I've been experiencing for a while. The constant overloading of noise and stimuli at a time of great pain and anguish for my community and many others has been overwhelming - leading me to desire a more subtle sound for this record.

Thanks for listening and tell your loved ones how much they mean to you. :D
