Sea Ranch
Tower Defense
It wasn’t an easy decision But the remainders would have to go From first run to cut out to close out And now they’re headed for the ocean floor We’ll fill up the cargo containers With the music of a thousand years A thousand hours forgotten A thousand songs you’ll never hear Microscopic flecks of iron Describing arcs of sound Mummified in sheets of mylar And Marianas bound Traveling the open waters Adrift for 40 days You’ll never reach your destination A burial at sea You dream of the sun bleached beaches In unseen, distant land The works of your mechanism Fatally caked in salt and sand Presently, dreams interrupted A queasy lurch then falling free Your housing is inundated As you go deeper beneath the sea
