Sheltering Night

At dusk, I say goodbye to a day that has blown me around and welcome in a sheltering night its stars a carapace its depths a burrow to sleep in to sleep in I bear myself fully to feel tickle of breeze, and a whisper of leaves an empty space, a spearmint kiss in iridescent light of evening sinking through deep lakes crawling woods
