A Voyage Ill Sought
Weight Shift
Out are the lights—out all!
Over each quivering form,
The curtain, a funeral pall,
Comes down with the rush of a storm,
While the angels, all pallid and wan,
Uprising, unveiling
Uprising, unveiling, affirm
That the play is the tragedy, “Man,”
And its hero, the Conqueror Worm
The Conquering worm!
Through the mist I sailed the stormy seas,
Prophecies, elusive as the breeze.
Compass lost, no stars to light my way,
The night is long, and shadows overstay.
Voyage ill sought
Mountains high, I climbed with bleeding hands,
Summit reached, all desolate lands.
Lost in the valleys of despair and grief,
Seeking solace in a false belief.
Voyage ill sought
Illusions broken, like glass upon the floor,
Bonds once held tight, now forever torn.
Eyes once bright, now weary and fraught,
Left handed path, a voyage ill sought.
Waves crash down
Pull me apart
Devoured
Please just give me another day
Annihilation
Silence deafens, I drift away.
Annihilation
All that once was, becomes decay
Annihilation
