Many centuries ago a young woman was traveling through Meadowtrek Woods. During her journey she decided to camp off the beaten path and away from any prying eyes. While she looked for a good spot with just the right combination of level ground and tree cover she began to feel odd. Floaty, but also present. Her hair stood on end, as if a faint energetic current flowed through her.

Slightly startled, she wondered if this could be the spot. The magick spot that she heard stories about growing up. Many had sought it out. None had found it. She took a few steps this way then that way as she gauged where the energy felt strongest. It was at this moment that she saw them. Small anomalies, almost like ripples. Like when the rain hits standing water. Slowly, she reached out her hand.

Her fingers felt charged as they slid through the veil. She pulled her hand out and inspected it. The static feeling left her hand. No signs of immediate injury. This was evidence enough for her. Boldly, she walked through the nearly invisible rippling wall.

The energy was so different, yet so familiar. But she could not yet place it. What was this strange place? Aside from the peculiar physical sensation everything appeared the same at first glance - vegetation, the sounds of the forest, etc. However, the coloring was subtly different. As her focus shifted to the hues of the leaves they almost seemed to meld into a new color. Where once there was aquamarine, now there was a rich cerulean, then a deep blue. When her awareness moved to something else the colors remained constant. Focusing on the size of different plants caused them to slowly change size. First larger, then smaller. Oscillating back and forth.

After exploring this wondrous place for a while she had gained a certain level of mastery over it. Color, size, and other properties could be controlled with her consciousness. It was as if she had entered a dream world while fully awake. Any thought she had would manifest. She walked into the canopy, then the clouds, then the heavens. She flew. Touched the aether itself. Breathed deeply in this sacred space. Got lost in the majesty of it all.

For decades she remained here. Eager to learn everything of this place. Consumed by the magick. Until one day she felt a disturbance. As if this wondrous world was dissipating. Growing weaker and weaker. Fearful that she may get trapped or even perish in this realm she made haste toward the veil. Crossing the threshold caused her to pass out - she had been away for far too long.

It took a few days for her to fully 'return' to this plane of existence. Each day she became more grounded. And each day she started noticing things. The most obvious was that despite being in that secret place for many years she did not age. Then she realized that not a day had passed in this realm. It was as if time stood still. Lastly, she discovered that she had the ability to visit that magickal realm whenever she wished. All she needed was a dreamer...
