About Adam York
Technical dude in the Information Technology space for most of my career, except for that one time almost a chef and another time audio gear sales and consulting, and well one other time selling vacuums door to door as Fido was unleashed from grinning faces.
Time to get out (of tech industry) and back to things that really matter. Creating art and music for love and enjoyment.
I have a bunch of instruments I play, some are keyboard, guitar, harmonica, baritone ukulele and the occasional Kazoo when things get really wonky.
My Music Journey
My music journey started in 2nd grade on the violin which I continued until about 13, you know when guys get more stupid and so violin took 2nd fiddle to teen drama (-:
I never really stopped music it just morphed into other instruments and geeky things which lead me here.
I’m new to the music industry so I have a lot to learn on a tight budget, so I do most things by myself. I’m learning it’s a hoot to get unexpected effects when you get inputs and outputs mixed up or not able to find the other end of a mic cable only to find puppy on the porch with the other half (-:
Keyboard and baritone ukulele are my favorites to play and singing; because… you know.. voice is the only thing I can take with me to the other side.
So, until then I sing with local groups and entertainment companies or anyone really that wants to be happy and has something enjoyable to sing and does not expect any fancy dancing because gravity seems to be my arch nemesis lately.
My Art Journey
I’ve always liked to draw but I sucked at it, who needs practice right? Over the years my drawing got better as tools went digital and wouldn’t you know it, I can draw a straight line. It must have been those darn pesky wooden things without a battery causing my artwork look like it was done on a California quake.
I do mostly digital art and create works around shapes and patterns, like Cymatics which fits nicely with my music journey. I try to create new art pieces when I am not working on music.
My favorite type of art is ancient geometry and crop circles. Yeah…. That’s Right! no bio can be complete without space aliens munching wheat fields with milk to create awesome designs I can harvest (-:
So, that is how I tie it all together, music, art and outer space man….. Nope I didn’t say it yet…. Innerspace not that silly movie of microscopic man in an equally tiny submarine. Inner space is where I get all my art and music from.
Thank You
If you’ve read this far thanks for your time and nice to meet you. Let me know where I can find your ampwall bio?
