Facets, by Am I in Trouble?
The seven songs of Spectrum explored, stretched, condensed, lightened, darkened, ripped apart, and stitched back together.
Fifteen new compositions that span ambient, cyberpunk, dungeon synth, industrial metal, chiptune, progressive rock, drone, electronic music, and so so so so much more.
Remix albums are not something often seen in black metal.
However, in their typical defiance of expectations, avantgarde metal legends like Arcturus (Disguised Masters), Ulver (1993-2003: 1st Decade in the Machines), and Solefald (The Circular Drain) embraced the collaborative art of the remix.
Facets is Am I in Trouble?’s effort to continue this tradition.
Facets is a celebration of the Ampwall community. Artists who all met and connected via Ampwall— from a diverse array of musical backgrounds and genres— have come together to find different shades and hues within the spectrum.
This is an album of re-imaginings.
In the boundaryless spirit of the album, Facets is released by innovative new record label SHIFT+CTRL Music. Am I in Trouble? first collaborated with SHIFT+CTRL Music on the compilation Vol. 1: Let’s Begin, which revealed a label unrestrained by genre limitations, and thus, a perfect home for Facets.
