About BGK
Formerly known a Bob Genghis Khan, BGK started as a two piece noise orchestra from two new dads (Joe Lepek, Corey Lyons) just trying to unleash their creative urges in between juggling the rigors of parenthood and full time tech jobs. Each show, practice, recording, etc is totally different. The surround themselves with an absurd amount of instruments, pedals, synthesizers, and homemade instruments to create what can best be described a noise collage.
BGK has collaborated with a lot of people over the years, extending their lineup to trios and quartets, but in the post-pandemic years adopted Alexander Adams as a full time member of the group. While they're still harbingers of chaos, this new trio formation has helped them stay a little more grounded and solidify the "BGK sound" - at least until they reach their next evolutionary state.
Almost every year since their formation, BGK has played a Halloween show. These started with just working with a theme, such as excorcism, but eventually turned into the band performing full soundtracks to horror movies. They done this with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Carrie, The Lighthouse, Midsommar, and more.
