If I change my face Will it still seem best I stay away While i wait outside for brighter days If I fall out of deep space It’s the hardest memory to erase But i could use help cutting to the chase Every night here the distance grows Well it’s karmic i suppose Razor edge that is slicing us in two Are we here til the weather passes I’m huddled under leaves til it’s over I didn’t want to leave but it’s over Lives swinging in the breeze until it’s over Time severed at the knees until it’s over Am I back from someplace I could fall back to your atmosphere Heal me just in case I can help you find a future Or did that seem off base? Have I let my feet shrink from my shoes As they now unlace and I tape them back together There’s a cloud on the airwave So we never catch the news And we never know what else to do we’re just here until the weather passes

Describe This Present Moment is Che Arthur's fifth album under his own name. In ten songs the Chicago-based multi-instrumentalist/songwriter/engineer/producer pits the taut, concise punk/indie structures and contemplative acoustic-based textures of his previous albums against heavier moments that call back to Pink Avalanche, the currently "on hiatus" band Arthur helmed from 2010-2020. Moment sees Arthur expand upon his cathartic, darkly melodic post-hardcore work in Pink Avalanche, his previous solo work and as guitarist in regarded early 2000s Chicago quartet Atombombpocketknife.
