MOTHS
Call me evil Or just call me a bad seed I am in you now It’s all good I’m just rotten on the inside Let my poison sprout Can’t you see All that’s fair Just falls out of my reach Won’t you care Won’t you see How you could well be me? Trust me with your soul I want what’s best for us This taste of bile, this rushing fear This lustful end is just too near Life is just so frail I can’t see no one else Oh, won’t you yield your godsend gifts If I won’t bloom, you better wilt Can’t you see All that’s fair Just falls out of my reach Won’t you care Won’t you see How you could well be me? Can't I pray? Can't I preach? Please extend your cold hand Take this darkness from within Maybe I’ll put it all away Take me, just put it all away Take some pity I can’t help it, I was born like this In a moment we’ll be free Let my splendor set you free Let me be your lily In this valley full of dreams I’ll make sure it’s worth your while Please make sure it’s worth my while Close your eyes This pain is beautiful and full of life Come high glory, hell awaits Come high glory, hell awaits

Greed
MOTHS
Satisfy This primordial Simple drive Self-indulging Feed the fear There's nothing left The wants and needs Of worthless shit Give me all I crave Slip away Poisoning the way I sway Take it all Leave the rest to rot Hell's not Such a big deal Greet the pain Don't turn that page Condescend, Revere, forsake Ravagein my wake Slip away Poisoning the way I sway Slip away Poisoning the way I sway In the midst of my coming I cannot quantify As a matter of fact The question isn't why The more I feed this void The hungrier it gets In a moment of truth It's all a lie we say Give me what I don't need Show me the emptiness to fill this hollow vest Deep inside Laying back Wanting more In the dark Sulking endlessly Worthless agonies End then start again Wondering what's next Slip away Poisoning the way I sway Sweep away Poisoning the way This broken soul will never know restrain Show me the way

Pride
MOTHS
To draw From weak Resolve I greet And toss This world Between My teeth Watch this grace go by Aiming to the sky Wearing a side smile No god here but mine Stepping on one head at a time Living off the sorrow behind Eager to come through All reluctance gone Approaching resolute Prey, on your wonder The more you strain and cry The easier you go under Wearing a wry smile Fall onto your knees No other God in here but me Lose hope Give in No joy in here but me

Lust
MOTHS
Drowning your soul in this sin river Lay bare in my dominion Choke in this loveless cruel religion Painful overwhelming lust Come quench this raw desire Unbridled senses heighten Your spirit spent in darkness In painful glory upheld Don’t stop, it’s almost over Come dancing to the edge Drift through the gates of rapture Drink from this poisoned well Lavish reveries Push and pull you deep Yearning in despair Reconcile Drowning your soul in this sin river Lay bare in my dominion Choke in this loveless cruel religion Scene’s done Fray lost Plead on Once more

Gluttony
MOTHS
Welcome to this place Of unbelievable pleasures Come and take a seat by me Come fill this thirst Partake of these tryst This is a gift for you Fill your cup Abundance of pleasures at your call Feast my blood Engorge yourself with me Welcome to this oasis Feel free to take what you like Eat of the lamb It is pure, it is exquisite Take of it all For there is more where that came from Take of me Have your fill Your hunger Take of me Have your fill Your thirst Have your fill Fill your cup Don't you see Take advantage of my release Why not stay longer And grow fat with me Grow filth with me Grow filth with me Take of me Have your fill

Wrath
MOTHS
Crestfallen child Fan the flames of hatred Burn it all to cinders Clean slate for the path before you Don't waste time Relish in the hate and your anger Take what's yours Pry it from their cold dead hands Burn with righteous light Let them all gaze in fear Hate takes ahold of you Take from them their lives and strip them of their dignity Inflict upon them, whats been dealt to you Take your revenge, it's only fair after all An act of passion ever burning They will burn in these flames fanned by passion Go now Burn them all Leave nothing Devour All And take it all for you Wrath, unending Consume the world and leave nothing but ash Wrath, The Destroyer Take it all and leave nothing but blackened lands

Septem, is a visceral exploration of the Seven Deadly Sins, each track embodying a different facet of indulgence, obsession, and self-destruction. From the corrosive jealousy of Envy to the insatiable hunger of Gluttony and the all-consuming rage of Wrath, the album plunges listeners into a dark, immersive experience where unchecked desires spiral into chaos.

This time, MOTHS dive deeper into heavier, darker territory, weaving touches of Death and Black Metal into their signature blend of Progressive, Psychedelic, Doom, and Stoner Metal. The result is an intense, dynamic sound that balances crushing aggression with atmospheric depth.

Recorded primarily at Romaphonic Studios in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in just five days, Septem captures the raw energy and impressions the country left on the band. It also marks Mariel Viruet’s debut as MOTHS’ vocalist, showcasing her wide range of vocal techniques—from haunting melodies to visceral screams.

The album was mixed by Walter Chacón (Los Fabulosos Cadillacs) and mastered by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Between the Buried and Me) at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden.

Blending intense instrumentation with evocative, poetic lyricism, Septem serves as both a cautionary tale and an unflinching dive into the rawest corners of human nature. It’s a journey through temptation and ruin—seductive, merciless, and impossible to ignore.
