Call me evil Or just call me a bad seed I am in you now It’s all good I’m just rotten on the inside Let my poison sprout Can’t you see All that’s fair Just falls out of my reach Won’t you care Won’t you see How you could well be me? Trust me with your soul I want what’s best for us This taste of bile, this rushing fear This lustful end is just too near Life is just so frail I can’t see no one else Oh, won’t you yield your godsend gifts If I won’t bloom, you better wilt Can’t you see All that’s fair Just falls out of my reach Won’t you care Won’t you see How you could well be me? Can't I pray? Can't I preach? Please extend your cold hand Take this darkness from within Maybe I’ll put it all away Take me, just put it all away Take some pity I can’t help it, I was born like this In a moment we’ll be free Let my splendor set you free Let me be your lily In this valley full of dreams I’ll make sure it’s worth your while Please make sure it’s worth my while Close your eyes This pain is beautiful and full of life Come high glory, hell awaits Come high glory, hell awaits

Septem, is a visceral exploration of the Seven Deadly Sins, each track embodying a different facet of indulgence, obsession, and self-destruction. From the corrosive jealousy of Envy to the insatiable hunger of Gluttony and the all-consuming rage of Wrath, the album plunges listeners into a dark, immersive experience where unchecked desires spiral into chaos.

This time, MOTHS dive deeper into heavier, darker territory, weaving touches of Death and Black Metal into their signature blend of Progressive, Psychedelic, Doom, and Stoner Metal. The result is an intense, dynamic sound that balances crushing aggression with atmospheric depth.

Recorded primarily at Romaphonic Studios in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in just five days, Septem captures the raw energy and impressions the country left on the band. It also marks Mariel Viruet’s debut as MOTHS’ vocalist, showcasing her wide range of vocal techniques—from haunting melodies to visceral screams.

The album was mixed by Walter Chacón (Los Fabulosos Cadillacs) and mastered by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Between the Buried and Me) at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden.

Blending intense instrumentation with evocative, poetic lyricism, Septem serves as both a cautionary tale and an unflinching dive into the rawest corners of human nature. It’s a journey through temptation and ruin—seductive, merciless, and impossible to ignore.
