If I stay up here all night / play it fast and loose and right We might see tomorrow I’ll look you right into your eyes / sing a chorus full of lies Don’t bother with the future Just give me one more day / I’ll make it all okay Let the last note decay / and let it ring til morning Just give me one more night / I’ll get my own words right who knows I just might / have something to say I just want to break your heart I just want to bend your ear I just want to tell you something that I think you would like to hear I just want to break your heart I just want to bend your ear I just want to tell you something that I think you would like to hear If we stay up here all night play it fast and loose and right We might see tomorrow I’ll look right into your eyes sing a chorus full of lies we might live forever I just want to get this right I hope it doesn’t come out wrong If you think you know the words then you can try to sing along Let me tell you something Let me tell you something Let me tell you something I got a heart of gold

“More bombastic fun from this duo from Northampton, MA – both a full-length and an EP!”

— John MacLeod, Comic Rawk Top 21 Albums of 2021

Hiatus (2021) was recorded and mixed in Easthampton, Massachusetts by Grant Wicks at Uncanny Audio — mostly in 2019, with sporadic overdub and mixing sessions before/during the pandemic. We brought aboard bass powerhouse Marc Seedorf (Mark Mulcahy sideman, engineer, Dinosaur Jr. guitar tech, and a woodworker t’boot) to turn us into a trio. Whoa!

Hiatus covers a lot of territory, shifting from the mountain-crushing “Wolves” to the rusty coffee can filled with spoons that is “Hole In The Sea,” from the Bob Mouldiness of “Descent” to the Nirvanishness of “Everybody Leave,” from the wicked evil “Sad Satan” to the storm-battered coast of “Clear Them Decks.”
