„Êra“ (Old Low Franconian: „crown“) tells the stories of four kings and is based on true events in history. The record reads like a singing book and takes you into a world of days long gone. In sorrowful melancholy, the musicians carry over golden sands, deep forests, enchanting autumn colours, and far-away waters. On the occasion of their tenth anniversary, the creators ask for a dance of majestic timbre and wailing poetry.

Trivia

The record cover is adorned with the skulls of four birds, each representing the respective country of origin of the four kings. The photograph was taken in a local forest, which played an important role in the early years of the collective, closing the circle of the past ten years. The first song tells about the life of Salmanassar III, who reigned in Assyria from 858 BC until 824 BC, represented by the White Stork. The second song tells about the life of Commius, who reigned in Northern Gaul from 57 BC until 20 BC, represented by the Eurasian Curlew. The third song tells about the life of Suiko, who lived in Yamato from AD 554 until AD 628, represented by the Red-Crowned Crane. The fourth song tells about the life of Nezahualcóyotl, who lived in the Aztec Empire from AD 1402 until AD 1472, represented by the Brown Ibis.
